Sentry gave us startup credits. Here's what it is and where it goes.
We got into Sentry for Startups. It's their program for early companies, and it comes with $5,000 in Sentry credits and priority support.
Why errors matter to us
A conversation with a historical figure has a lot of moving parts. Speech comes in, a retrieval step pulls the right sources, a model writes the answer, a voice reads it back. When one of those breaks, the person on the other end hears silence, or a figure that suddenly stops making sense, and we don't always get an email about it. I think that the worst bugs in this product are the quiet ones, where the figure keeps talking and the sources stopped loading three turns ago.
If a figure says something we can't trace to a source, that is a bug, not a style choice.
What we're doing with it
Sentry goes on DebateHero, Awaken History, and the voice pipeline behind them, so a failed retrieval or a dropped call shows up with the turn that caused it. The credits cover error and performance monitoring for the year.
We'll post what we learn.
